One of the top innovation, technology and arts festivals in Ukraine called de:coded

 

de:coded is a large 72-hour computer art festival which gathers in one location amazing minds, who work, live and breathe technology. The festival will bring together a wide range of participants from all over Ukraine from for the country’s  innovative tech and art community. It is one of the first kind of events for Ukraine. This is a unique platform where different communities intersect, share achievements and create new projects. The event will take place on June 3-5th in the Palace of Arts in the city centre of Lviv, Ukraine.

“The main purpose of the festival is to reduce the “brain drain” from Ukraine, to show our citizens and visitors from abroad that Ukrainians have a powerful engineering and creative potential. We think this will give a great impulse to foreign companies to create new R&D centers in Ukraine, because there are talented employees here,” – says Anastasia Tumanova, one of the de:coded organizers.

The festival will be held during June 3-5th in the Art Palace in the very heart of the city. de:coded will be held for 72 hours non-stop. There will be incredible events, both during day and night.

“Today I want to invite you to the festival, though not to California, but to my native Lviv. Come necessarily if you are interested in everything, connected with IT. As for myself, I come to the festival since 2006, practically not missing a single day of the festival. It’s a mix of everything, connected with IT. Come, it will be interesting and exciting, I expect to see you at the festival”, – tells a Facebook engineer-programmer Ostap Korkuna in his video message.

de:coded festival program includes:

• educational workshops and master classes on academic entrepreneurship and creation of technological products;
• exhibition of inventions and technology companies;
• demoscene of powerful software capabilities and personal coding abilities;
• competitions in design, computer graphics, 3D modeling and music composing;
• exhibition of new media arts;
• race of autonomous vehicles;
• cybersport competitions;
• workshops for children on robotics, writing games and programming;
• concerts, quests and night entertainment program;
• drone races.

There will be all the conditions, necessary for the dialogue development, new ideas’ generation and impulses for action, created at the festival. All the best software developers, designers and scientists, who are able to find solution for the creation of new technological production on the crossroads of fields of studies, will meet here.

– To activate the creative potential of youth and  develop the ability to make better use of their skills
– To provide participants with necessary knowledge, connections, resources and experience which would help then in creating their own products and business solutions
– Increase the amount of product IT companies in Ukraine
– To promote and develop of the IT industry

The festival will create the conditions for dialogue, birth of new ideas and push for action. We will synchronize programmers, designers and scientists together, which at the crossroads of disciplines will develop new products.

By organizing the festival as a platform for the development of ideas, we aim to reduce the “brain drain” from the Ukraine, show our citizens and guests from abroad that Ukrainians have powerful engineering and creative potential. We think this will give a great impetus for foreign companies to open new R&D centers in Ukraine, because we have talented specialists for them.
